Latest Updates from Our Project:

Mid-June Update
almost 7 years ago – Thu, Jun 29, 2017 at 10:35:26 AM

As promised!

Folks, the the goal of this update is to provide clear levels of where we are on the various pieces of the project. If you have any questions, feel free to comment, and we'll answer them. If you have a more significant concern, feel free to email Alan at [email protected]

We officially signed paperwork Monday, so I’ve been heads deep in sorting out this campaign and seeing what is done, what is not done, and what we need to do.

Here’s the good news. It’s closer than we think.

Here’s the bad news, it’s gonna be a bit of a push for us, but we’ve got this, and I am prepared to do lots of yelling, swearing, and throwing of things to get this done.

Shotguns & Sorcery Progress

  • Writing - Done
  • Editing - Done
  • Layout - Underway for finished art and pages (65 pages laid out)
  • Art - 41 pages complete, 29 to go.
  • Coloring - Starting today. We just hired two new colorists so we can get this done in a timely manner.

Timetable

  • 7/1 - BackerKit out
  • 7/15 – All art, coloring and assets done.
  • 8/1 – Layout of PDF and print-ready file done. Additionally, at this point, we close BackerKit
  • 8/2 – PDF releases to backers, and goes to print.

All the artists have their time-tables for the art, and all of the colorists are onboard and starting.

Once these items are at the printer, it can take up to 30 days to have them all printed. Then, they have to ship from Hong Kong (where our printer is), to the US, which can take another 30 to 60 days (usually less than 30, but weather and customs are hard to control for us).

Once there in the US, they go to our shipping hub, where we will begin to ship out. That puts us at a 90 day timetable to begin shipping.

Now, once they go to print in Hong Kong and leave on a boat, we don’t have a lot of control, but once they’re in the US, we’re back on track.

What about the Rest?

We owe you the following:

  • Art Book
  • Pathfinder Conversion
  • Player’s Guide
  • Printable Character Cards
  • Monster Folio
  • 22 Page Comic
  • 32 Page Adventure
  • Monster/Adversary Cards.
  • The omnibus

This are all digital products, so our plan is to do these (most of which are already underway, or extend naturally after the corebook is done [such as the Art Book, Comic, and Adventure]) in that 90 day window before shipping, and finish them up during the shipping phase of the project.

After the book goes to print, we’ll create a detailed timeline (as above), for the remainder of these projects so we can get them to you.

Thank you for your patience, and we're going to get this project back on track quickly.

Alan Gallo - Sinister Characters
almost 7 years ago – Tue, Jun 13, 2017 at 10:16:36 AM

This week, we’re going to take a look at some of the sinister folks that crawl through Dragon City, but only the ones that have been drawn by Alan Gallo.

Once again we thank you all for your patience and we assure you we are working hard to bring this into your hands.
